Microblading Training Terms and Conditions
Entry Requirements.
- NZQA Level 6 Microcredential entry is open for any persons 16 years and over who are NZ citizens / permanent residents or Australian citizens
- Applicants must possess a good level of communication and presentation and be confident in their ability to complete the level of course work in order to be successful
- Applicants must ensure they have support systems in place to assist them to reach their goals, in terms of study time available, family support and childcare support etc
- Be able to complete the practical aspects of this microcredential qualification in a clinic or home-base salon environment and meeting all health and hygiene standards and local council requirements
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Have access to a mobile device or tablet
Admittance.
Your registration entitles you to admittance into the Training you have enrolled in. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance (including without limitation, travel and accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by you and Master Academy shall have no liability for such costs.
NZQA Students must fill in, sign and return the Acceptance Form, along with a certified copy of ID (birth certificate or passport). Students may alternatively bring an original ID to the first day of the workshop, however failing to produce a certified copy or original by the workshop date will result in the transfer to the next available workshop date. A signed and dated certification can be issued by a Justice of the Peace or at your local Police Station.
All students must supply a copy of their First Aid Certificate or have in place, an appointment to complete their First Aid training. Failing to provide a copy of your certificate by level 8 in your learning levels, will result in the suspension of your course until the certificate is provided.
Course Inclusions.
In order for you to achieve success in your training, Master Academy shall provide:
16 weeks blended learning of both online and a two day live training workshop.
Facility needed for the workshop training.
Models needed for the workshop practical training (if required).
Training support, including responses to CraftMaster questions and case studies within a 48 hour time frame.

During your online education, you are required to study the lecture and video tutorials and complete the curriculum, including submitting case studies to your Master educator. The online learning levels must be completed within the given timeframe and is based on 20-25 hours of practice and study per week. Only by successful completing both the workshop and the online learning, will you graduate to become a certified technician.
Fees, Withdraws, Workshop Cancellations and Refunds.
The payment of the applicable fees for non StudyLink students is due one month prior to Training. If such payment is insufficient or declined for any reason, Master Academy may refuse to admit you to the training and shall have no liability in that regard or are payable for any collection fees.
It is Master Academy’s policy not to provide refunds on product and/or tools. However we do provide exchanges / repairs on product and/or tools proven faulty that are under current warranty, in compliant to Phi Academy’s warranty policies.
The withdrawal and fee refund policy is in accordance with the Education Act 1939 and amendments as implemented by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, and applies to international and domestic students; and if the following conditions are met:
- The withdrawal occurs up to the end of the eighth day from the start of the course
- The private training establishment (PTE) must refund an amount equal to the sum of the amount paid less a deduction of the lesser of ten per cent of the fees or $500
If a student withdraws (i.e stops attending class) from a Master Academy course, they must notify the Student Liaison in writing. The date of the withdrawal is the date that the Master Academy receives written notification of withdrawal, or the first day of a protracted period on non-attendance (if a student simply stops attending class without notification). ‘Day 1’ (for the purposes of calculating how many days have elapsed since the student ‘started’ their course) is defined as the date tuition actually commenced.
Student fee refund amounts are mandated by NZQA up to certain points in courses. Master Academy’s own refund policies apply thereafter.
Please note, for students attending a non NZQA microblading course (i.e PhiBrows 6months or PhiBrows Online), there are no refunds. We do however allow transfers to another workshop or education.
These regulations may be varied in exceptional circumstances that are beyond the control of the student (such as a medical or compassionate circumstance) variation is at the discretion of the Academy Directors.

Student Complaints Process.
Master Academy is a community committed to creating a culture of belonging, understanding and care. All Master Academy students and staff can be assured that without exception, Master Academy do not tolerate dishonesty, harassment or racism of any kind, nor behaviours that put students (themselves or others or Master Academy) at serious risk.
Upon enrolment, students are required to read and accept our regulations and policies, including that of student conduct. Students are also supplied with information to help them settle in and find their way around the essential services offered and support contacts.
Students may voice a concern, complaint, grievance, or appeal a decision, without fear of disadvantage. Master Academy has a clear, fair and transparent resolution process. Discussions remain confidential and no action is taken without the student’s authorisation.
Use of Likeness.
By attending the Training you acknowledge and agree to grant Master Academy the right at the Training to record, film, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media now available or hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to Master Academy, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media.
Training Content.
You acknowledge and agree that Master Academy, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Training, including but not limited to, the Training name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue, and time.
Limitations on Use.
You agree that you will not reproduce, republish, distribute, transmit, display, broadcast or otherwise exploit in any manner any and whatsoever data, information, knowledge of technique, know-how transferred and made available to you at the session of the Training in any form and/or media, including but not limited to those available as online contents of Master Academy’s Website (including but not limited to the access to online script, chatroom, etc.). You accept and acknowledge that you may use said material for your personal and non-commercial use only, without altering or removing any trademark, copyright or other notice from such material. By registering for Training/s, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share any complimentary merchandise you receive at the Training.
Disruptive Conduct.
You acknowledge and agree that Master Academy reserves the right to remove you from the Training if Master Academy, in its sole discretion, determines that your presence or behaviour creates a disruption or hinders the Training or the enjoyment of the Training for other attendees.
Photography, Recording, Live Streaming, and Videotaping.
Students may not record or broadcast audio or video of sessions at the Training. If found doing so, students will be immediately ejected from the Training and banned from future Trainings. Master Academy considers such conduct theft of service and fraud and will report violators to law enforcement authorities.
Intellectual Property:
All intellectual property rights in and to the Training, the Training content, website, material published on website and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Training are owned by Master Academy, its affiliates or the Training sponsors or speakers presenting at the Training. All such rights are reserved. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks (including without limitation “Phibrows”and “Microblading Academy”) or other trade names appearing at the Training, in any Training content or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Training for any reason without the prior written permission of Master Academy.
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Terms shall be deemed to vest in you any legal or beneficial right in or to any trademarks or other intellectual property rights owned or used under license by Master Academy or any of its affiliates; nor does this Terms grant to you any right or license to any other intellectual property rights of Master Academy or its affiliates, all of which shall at all times remain the exclusive property of Master Academy and its affiliates.
Terms to be fulfilled for receiving the Training Certificate
After finishing the attendance in the training, students may receive a Training Attendance Certificate confirming their successful attendance in the field.
In order to pass the certification process, Students are required to improve his/her skills related to the selected training and successfully complete all CraftMaster online learning levels.
In order to improve his/her work to the advanced level necessary for receiving the Training Certificate, Master Academy will provide students communication with Training techniques via the CraftMaster group, to which students will have the ability to connect from the first week of training.
The student has the right to, at any time, post an inquiry to the Master, relating to the selected training technique, as well as to share experiences and everyday work with other students. Through the above mentioned method of communication, Trainers of the selected training will be able to evaluate skills of students. Students shall, in order to get his/her work and skills assessed, submit his/her works related to the selected training, to Master Academy through the appropriate web service in the form of photographs in timeframe given. Students may submit multiple works for assessment. The student shall be entitled to the PhiBrows Certificate, plus Master Academy Certificate when and under condition that all his/her works gain positive assessment.
Miscellaneous.
Master Academy give no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Training or any materials related there to or offered at the Training and, to the fullest extent legally possible disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability. The Training is provided on an “as-is” basis. Neither Master Academy nor its affiliates accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Training or any information provided at the Training.
Except as required by law, neither Master Academy nor its affiliates shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential costs, damages or losses arising directly or indirectly from the Training or other aspect related there to or in connection with this agreement.
